Pimp Derby

On the weekend, I played Putt Putt Golf. I did not win.

But, it was David C's (ashamel) birthday and it was good to see him and others, before I retreat to being a hermit, yet again. I'm working on being one of those authors that when you see me out in public, it will only be in places that enhance my reputation as being a creative genius. Hence Putt Putt Golf.

This post is mostly to pimp a few things, however. Last week, Patrick O'Duffy (artbroken) released his book, Hotel Flamingo online, and for just under three dollars. I've known Patrick through his blog, and his comments here, and he is an intelligent, and savy sort of guy, and you could do worse than clicking the link and trying the preview at the site. This is independent publishing, and perhaps the future, and if you like what you see there, go drop the couple of bucks. I haven't read the whole thing yet, but so far its a quirky, odd piece with a lot of ideas bouncing through it.

I also learned that Sydney has a roller derby league. Yes, a roller fucking derby league. One team is in fact called, Sydney Roller Derby League.

I discovered this after I was instructed on the joy that is roller derby by N.
