Protest Fetish.

accompanying text read:

"I think protesters are really just into bondage and exhibitionism. They dress up in crazy outfits, parade around in public, and wait for the inevitable time when the police come and put them in plastic handcuffs."

the whole site is somewhat distasteful in that whole soft porn/Maxim/FHM kind of way. i found it through a link from http://blogs.salon.com/0001437/ which is reverse cowgirl's blog. which spends a lot of time talking about soft porn, or at least giving images of it. still.

and i should point out that i have no problem with porn, just those magazines that pretend they're not porn. and, well, have you actually read those magazines?

fuckin' hell. i've heard eight year olds be more interesting.

So what about the poor protestors who are standing out on the hot beach, carrying signs, not being bound up at all?

Are we denying them their right to explore their fetish by not arresting them, just because the police have figured out that they can earn more money for the city by passing out parking tickets than by arresting protestors?

Re: Hmm....
the way i read it, was that the protestors were tying themselves up before the police arrived.

of course, we probably are denying them their fetish. it's always the same, really. i mean, no one is dipping me into chocolate and then letting women lick me clean?

it's just unfair, but then maybe i'm going to the wrong protests. heh.
