This time for 'The Souls of Blackbirds are for Soldiers, Not Little Boys', which is said to be, "No pie, a crapload of blackbirds, and an overload of propaganda and souls. Three and a half out of five." But the better of the two is reserved for 'R', the "TV ratings physical manifestation, three and a half out of five" piece.

I'll have to sell more fiction if I want more of these, it looks like.

cool beans :)

i'm glad you dug it. also, i'm glad you gave a ref to the peric book--i haven't read it, but--based off what i'm reading about it right now--it sounds cool.

(i was waiting to see if anyone referenced the Oulipo movement)

It seemed the obvious thing to do. I love Perec's work, although I haven't yet read A Void, which is the one most people know about.

well, i'm going to check him out. i'm cashing in my c-card points for 200 cred on it, which is going to fund an amazon purchase in the next couple of days, so it'll be on it, i reckon.

I went to the library to see if they had A Void, but they have it in French only (La Disparition)... They also had something by him called Alphabets, also in French, which combines poems and pictures and is alphabetical, but sadly my French is not that good. Maybe have a look at the UNSW library to see if they have it, even in the French to flip through and have a look. I did grab a copy of W or the Memory of Childhood, and I look forward to reading that.

Btw, Life, A User's Manual is one of my favourite books. I gave it to my dad a couple of years ago, and it is now one of his favourite books.

Does he only do Australian writers? Because I would dig a sentence or two.
May. 21st, 2007 03:51 am (UTC)
nah, he does everyone. i'll tell him you're up and send him down here.

That was me, anonymous. I don't think I have any new ones online--I could send you a file of my new F&SF novella...

May. 21st, 2007 04:24 am (UTC)

May. 21st, 2007 04:28 am (UTC)
T-shirts are my life. You know I used to own a t-shirt company. It was pure mindfuck.

Radiant Green Star
May. 21st, 2007 05:10 am (UTC)
July. It’s got typos and shit, but not too many.
May. 21st, 2007 05:27 am (UTC)
Ok. :)

The poo will probably come out in the tcp/ip transfer at least! ;-)

Salvador = Not Free SF when I get to that one, as would be this new one, the others where RGS is.

What is the most bizarre t-shirt you saw then?

(going out for a while now)
