S.O.S. - There is no end to World of Warcraft. You do one quest, but there's five more. You die, but you just go back and get your body. You finish with one city, but there's a whole fucking continent. Would someone please send sandwiches.

you think this is bad? wait for the blood elves.
Dec. 23rd, 2006 03:30 am (UTC)
they're in the expansion pack, aren't they?
Dec. 23rd, 2006 03:44 am (UTC)
exactly! there will NEVER be an end. it starts off innocently enough with some cute looking elves, before you know it... well, you're dead.

Heh. :flexes her priest decked out in purple: All you need is a good healer. On a serious note the darn thing is a bit addictive but gets repetitive around 60. I mean you can only raid the same instance so many times...
Dec. 23rd, 2006 10:31 pm (UTC)
oh, yeah. level sixty. of course. how long did it take you to get to that?
Dec. 24th, 2006 03:12 am (UTC)
With my paladin, probably a couple of months. Paladin rocks the first 40 levels and then drizzles off, especially since they started fixing the bugged seals.

With my priest I speed-leveled her because I wanted a high ranking healer, meaning I took quests selectively and had a build optimal for leveling. I didn't PVP, I didn't worry too much about my alchemy, I just leveled. It took me about two and a half weeks. 50-60 took the longest. Because I was a priest, everyone I knew bugged me for a group. I must've ran the drowned temple and maradon about 25 times. And just when I was done with that, Strat and other 5 men started. Our guild was too small, so I ran with a pick up group. Pick up groups mostly suck. In the end, it was mechanical: heal you, heal you, mindpossess summoner, heal you, heal, heal.

I quit after awhile, then reactivated the account, got in with a really good guild, ran the 40 men, got tired of that, quit. Played around with some hunters, had a shaman, had a mage... In the end it got too much like a job.

That reminds me, I need to uninstall Ventrilo. :P

Ben, I feel for you. I really do. Fortunately, I was sensible enough to purchase a 14 day trial pack and therefore it did have an end. I was a 6th level Rogue... and Undead... just got a really cool-looking leather harness: no, no, I'm a writer, god damn it! Get thee hence, Geraldine!
Dec. 23rd, 2006 10:30 pm (UTC)
come to us, kyla. come to us. if all the writers get involved, we can do business through it, possible while walking down a road. heh.

Dude, have you ever seen the British sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf? Specifically the show Better Than Life?

I guess there is a lesson here for us all!
Dec. 23rd, 2006 10:33 am (UTC)
Oh, here we go - entire thing! http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=red+dwarf+better+than+life&search=Search

P.S. You should probably have a copy of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion on standby in case your internet connection goes down! Cold turkey is not good - think of it as your morphine.
Dec. 23rd, 2006 10:42 pm (UTC)
no, i think i'll be fine, really. the bigger problem will be losing my email and the such. that always makes me twitchy.
Dec. 23rd, 2006 12:19 pm (UTC)
what level and server are you on?
Dec. 23rd, 2006 10:25 pm (UTC)
i'm on the proudmore server. i was playing a level eight shaman, but i think i've gotten bored with that, so i started a hunter last night that seems more my style. horde characters. once i get that down, i might try and alliance side.
