Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

I went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest last Friday and I quite enjoyed myself, but I've found that, in terms of writing about it, there's not much to say. The first thirty minutes is a bit clunky as the three main characters and put into their plot lines and meet up, but overall, I found that film a kind of enjoyable, big Summer/Winter film spectacle, no better or worse than the first.

So here's my summing up of the film:

I paid fifteen bucks to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. At the end, despite the cliffhanger (which is the same kind of cliffhanger that Empire Strikes Back has) I didn't feel as if I had been violated. This is not something I can say about the last two films I paid fifteen bucks to see.

It was okay, not as good as the first perhaps.
Did you happen to watch the last scene after the end credits? (I'm happy to inform you of what happened if you didn't :P)

I actually folded and saw X-Men 3 last week. Also, have to say... I have to agree entirely with your mini-review (and the main one, but more the summary)! Also, the acting was just dire! Did you notice how some of the lines were straight out other films? To Beast: "I thought you were a diplomat..." - err, no that was Natalie Portman in Attack of the Clones!

Anywho, yeh, Pirates is great and can't be flawed on it's level. Imagine you're a kid, what a great summer film! That it hits the spot for the majority of adults, including elitist bastards like us, says a lot... wow this is going on a lot, so two quick links! 1 - Ninja review of Pirates! 2. Have you seen what Michael 'king Bay has done to Transformers?!?

yeah, that x-men film was just trash.

i saw the ninja review a few days ago. heh. funny. gotta agree with that whole 'everything has a plot line' bit, though. i mean, even the knife or bootstrap bill has a plotline!

We should have been warned off the movie by the novel author's writer photo! (ok, officially tiring that joke out now...)

All the Ninjas and Pirates in the media lately has made me decide that my housewarming party will be Pirates and Ninjas themed. Swords abound, alcohol, south coast England... I can see it ending with a fight on the beach!

yeah, i think i ran that author photo joke into the ground somewhere round saturday. the slash dream, for example.

i'd come to your house warming, man, but my pirate costume... it came without a pirate ship.

ps: the penny arcade thing was pretty funny too.
