Brilliant album, brilliant artwork! (Not actually commissioned by David Thrussell, but nice use of it, fitting the aesthetic of his music)

So, are we meant to post album covers in the comments, or on our LJs, or what?

post 'em on your blog, post 'em here.

THIRD MALL FROM THE SUN is my favourite snog album, and it also has my favourite artwork, which yeah, i knew wasn't commissioned. the artist is actually canadian, and well know for this kind of stuff. his art appears on VALLEY OF THE PROLES as well, which was a so-so album, i thought.

Yeah, true true, distinctly so-so, and the artwork's not quite as brilliant either. I got it from the label along with a compilation of remixes and alternate versions which has a few reasonable things on it...

Ad Busters did a whole calendar like that one...
Jan. 19th, 2006 06:43 am (UTC)
same artist?
Jan. 19th, 2006 01:51 pm (UTC)
Well, that exact same piece was in it. I can't say if the whole calendar is done by one artist, but it is upholding the same theme, which is in line with the anti-popular-reading-of-pop-culture-media theme of the magazine. I read the magazine, but didn't get the calendar, though I did find it pretty funny.
