Street Conversations.

Street Conversations was an eight week fiction project that I decided to do because I had an idea and no real way to scratch it in publication. So I thought, I have a blog, fuck it. So for eight weeks (actually nine, since there was a one week break in the middle due to illness) I ran my little prose and photography project. It is, essentially, a series of conversations that take place at street corners, playgrounds, apartment windows, cars, and outside Chinese Take Aways. You don't have to read them in order, though I did write them that way, so there is probably something to be gained in reading them one after the other.

There is also a poll where you can leave your opinion on if you'd go for a chapbook of these (which is an idea I'm seriously looking at) and which sort of translates into if you would like to see more. The idea is to maybe do a yearly series, but of course, that depends on a whole lot of other things, some in my power, some not.

At any rate, it's over, and it's time to thank the two people who need to be thanked. In an attempt not to embarrass myself with my own poor proof reading skills, Deb Biancotti (deborahb) and Mari Ness (mariness) read the entries before they went up and pointed out my missing words, typos, and plain stupidity. I'd like to say it was all me, but it wasn't. Both are fine writers and you should check out their stuff.

When I began this, I was a little worried I'd get two weeks into it and hate the whole thing or that it would be so bad I'd just have to apologise, but the first didn't happen, and I guess the second didn't either, because I lasted all the way to the end. It was fun. I dug it. I hope you all reading it enjoyed it, and if you did, feel free to share it round.

That's it. I'm done.
