Dallas, Level 3

I have a new driver's license photo. As I'm sure everyone will agree, license photos are something that are either passable, terrible, or a snapshot that forces you to redesign your personality for the next three to five years so that you at least vaguely resemble that person in your photo. Continuing my trend of license photos, I look as if I'm about to step out of my car, pull down a mask, and walk into a bank with a shotgun.

I am listening to Beth Orton's Central Reservation, and it's sweet and beautiful, as her voice has always been.

You can be so selfish sometimes.

I want a divorce.

i've been telling people i didn't know you for months. it's cause of your drinking and screaming and claims that you didn't know where your youth had gone, and you'd wasted it on me, all the while staring at that photo of elizabeth taylor.

so go ahead. file that divorce.

If I didn't know better, I'd suspect that you had some other reason for existing, apart from nurturing of my happiness.

I don't even know you anymore. What happened to the man I married?

Could be worse. My passport - which you're stuck with for 5-10 years - I look nekkid. Just say no to those days when you're wearing strappy tops and pigtails.

i wish i had pigtails and looked naked on my passport. i look drunk and dead on mine.
