The New Rushdie Book

Despite the fact that I thought Fury was on the dodge side, I find myself quite looking forward to Salman Rushdie's Shalimar the Clown. Actually, that sentence sounds a bit dishonest. Truth is, I've looked forward to new Rushdie novels ever since I read Satanic Verses, even though I've not read a few of his other novels, and always mean to do so.

But Satanic Verses is a rare book in my library. It contains a mix of emotions: love for its prose, admiration for its courage, and celebration for the glorious mash of cultures within it.
