Last Thoughts

I wonder if James Doohan realised, in the moments before his death, that a huge chunk of the world would be using the lines, "Beam me up, Scotty," as his epitaph. Kinda thing that'd make a guy come back from the dead and haunt the buildings of news stations and homes of journalists and rooms of Trek fans, really.

Not me, though. I hate that fucking show. It's one of America's great crimes that it they brought back, franchised it, and allowed it to leave it's greasy patterns on the social content of my mind.
