Jonathan Carroll has a new story Home on the Rain up. Like most of Carroll's work, it's a really fine piece, beautifully written and a meditation on life and the place you carve out for yourself. I'm not sure about if the end works for me, but I want to digest it a little while longer first. My initial thought is: It does, and it doesn't.

Outside that, my only fault with the story is that the dialogue is awful, but there isn't much of it, thankfully.

Lastly, it's been a while since people from a new part of the world came through the blog (by this I mean readers from a country the counter hasn't noticed before) but this week there've been readers from Taiwan and Chile, which is just cool. I still get a buzz out of that.
