Cinema Death, Coming Soon.

"A Brazilian priest has died during a screening of Mel Gibson's controversial film The Passion of the Christ.

Jose Geraldo Soares, a 43-year-old Presbyterian, had booked a whole cinema to view the film with his congregation.

Halfway through, his wife noticed that he was no longer awake, and a doctor in the audience confirmed that he had suffered a heard attack."

and yes it does say it had nothing to do with the film. as a friend of mine said, 'people die in cinemas around the world every day. they probably died in the dozens in toy story. it's just now that you learn about it.'

so, obviously, someone should start a website up with a tally for the most patrons to die in a film. cinema related deaths, coming soon.

meanwhile, gibson is going to make a film about the jewish festival of hanukkah. what does this mean to me? absolutely nothing, since i won't go and see a film that has been made just so gibson can assure us he's not anti-semitic, just as i won't go and see gibson's passion of christ and learn he's christian view. that doesn't mean other people shouldn't if they want too, mind you.
