It's a Quote

There is probably some long-standing 'rule' among writers, journalists, and other word-mongers that says: 'When you start stealing from your own work you're in bad trouble.'

--Hunter S. Thomspon.

Still reading Fear and Loathing: On the Campaign Trail, '72, in between writing, teaching, sleeping, the usual. There's a few bumpy moments where Thompson burns out, but overall, it's still quite fascinating, and disturbingly relevant.

For all that I've read and reread Las Vegas dozens of times, '72 is really Thompson's most important and most honest work.
