Question Regarding Wasps

I appear to have a reoccurring wasp problem around my place. I trash the nest, spray the area, but within a few months, they have returned.

Anyone got any advice?

(I don't think I've ever asked such a question on this blog before.)

If the problem's that the same wasps are rebuilding, don't trash the nest, poison the next to kill all of them. You can get a contact dust that they'll carry inside before they die, or you can choose a time at dawn or dusk where they'll sluggish and spray the nest down well with an aerosol toxin. Once the nest is dead, then destroy it. If you simply destroy the nest but leave the wasps alive, they'll immediately start rebuilding. Do you know what sort of wasps?

It could just be that you're in a favorable location for the wasps: warm, with access to water. Where is the nest? If it's in a shed or under an eave or something, you might be able to prevent them from building there in the first place.

hmm. that's a good point about trashing. i hadn't quite thought about that.

the current nest i don't know where it is. i'll go and have a poke around tonight, when they're less active, and see if i can't find it there.
