Godspeed Part Two

Apparently, yesterday's news of them calling it quits was wrong:

When contacted by Pitchfork, Menuck gave the following statement via Silver Mt. Zion's publicist:

"The Drowned in Sound thing is a misquote, I'm in the middle of dealing with it now. It's true, Godspeed hasn't existed for years, we've been on permanent hiatus since 2002. If and when we do call it quits permanently, it won't be because of the Iraq war."

Sweet, hey?

Anyhow, as I said before, A Silver Mt Zion have a new album coming out in March, 13 Blues for Thirteen Moons, and here is a video of 'The Triumph of Our Tired Eyes', from their second album, Born into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward.

I love GYBE, so it's good to hear they're not "breaking up," even if they haven't made music in forever.

It's actually really good background music for just about anything, but it's also really good listening music. There's just so much yes about them.
