Abstinence Feels Good: The To Do List

The amazing thing is, AbstinenceFeelsGood.Com is right: I wrote down a list of my goals with the knowledge that only after all these were accomplished, I would have sex again. The response?

I feel super motivated.

sure it is. it's neither a good or a bad thing, really, but if you go round filling someones head with that garbage... well, who you really fucking up?

i'd like to see people do a poster called 'why our governments shouldn't kill' like that.

sex is just sex. do it, don't do it, whatever. it ain't no hang up worth having.

My issue is with irresponsible sex.

Pregnancy is a huge issue when the couple or single parent is unable to support the child.

Then society at large ends up having to deal with it.

Which is not to say that I'm promoting abstinence as these groups do. It's just to say if you can go that route then fine with me.

And kids having sex doesn't lead to less sex it leads to more sex. And sex can be a distraction from getting that education. With life expectancies being higher then one can wait.

it's really just the demonisation of sex that i'm against. have sex, don't, whatever suits you at the time--no one person is the same as everyone else. but lets not demonise it. it's just not an issue worth having people make posters about. teach people responsibility, teach people birth control, allow people abortions, do all that stuff to make people aware of choices.

but this hang up the world has about sex? totally unnecessary.
