Anna Brown, Artist of 26Lies

--Twenty-Six Lies/One Truth

Anna Brown is, as I have said before, the artist for 26Lies. It's time for you all to appreciate why she is, however, with the above image.

Anna provides eighteen internal images within the book which, perhaps, push the book into a strange kind of graphic novel territory, since each one of those forms a sequential narrative that weaves through the book as a whole. I don't suppose you could call it a graphic novel in any real sense of the word, but a mini comic has been designed, sliced up, and run through the book, and it looks superb, if you can even trust my judgment here about my own work. At any rate, Anna has produced excellent, quirky, strangely surreal work, and I've nothing but good things to say about the whole experience--in fact, the whole book has just been a pleasure to do. Gotta love that.

You can still pre-order Twenty-Six Lies/One Truth from the Wheatland Press website. 17 bucks if you're in the US, 13 pounds British, 32 Australian if you're here (I have no idea about yen or any other currency--let me know if you get it, tho). Includes postage. Pre-order and you get the I Hate Ben Peek badge, free.

Go.
