On the bus I sat next to a nineteen year old guy with one ear. I wanted to ask him how he lost it. Knife fights, love, a tragic chainsaw accident... But by the time I had listed all the ways you could lose an ear, he had left. Outside the window the World had a decidedly odd bent and I watched it. It seemed like the thing to do.

Out of curiosity: how did you know the one-eared guy was 19 years old? Just seems odd that you'd know that about a stranger.

i used my vast mental powers. the things i know about you, mr. barnes, are diabolical.

actually, it's just a guess. he got on the bus at uni, by himself, and looked pretty young--but just outside being a teenager, you know? at the same time, he wasn't a 'young guy' if you follow? this is just by his looks. i think the missing ear screwed up my powers of description. so i took an educated age guess. saying he was 19 is the best way to describe his age/look anyhow.

Fair enough.

>the things i know about you, mr. barnes, are diabolical.<
