This is an image of the High School I went too. Nice spikes, yeah?

After last weeks post about national identity, I've been thinking a bit off and on about education and its uses and the propaganda side to it and everything. There's not a whole lot in my thoughts to make a post about it, but I've a message board where I can put these conversations now, so there's one there. I figure the board ought to be used, otherwise it's just going to sit there, so I'll give it a couple of kicks and pokes like this to see if I can't get it moving along. If it doesn't it doesn't, but its open for anyone, so give it a go.

On an aside, the High School I went too was really quite shit. It was called Pendle Hill High, and the year after I left, it was listed as a disadvantaged school. Like most public schools Pendle Hill didn't have to be underfunded, but since it lacked any sway whatsoever, it was left to rot. I went up there a week or so back to walk and photograph it out of general amusement and my then plan for VanderWorld blogging (which has since changed). Anyhow, around the school were all these signs telling me that public education was worth the investment. It was as if the entire school had turned into a beggar and was sitting on the side of the road with a cardboard sign, asking for cash.
